What I learnt from my cab driver

Inspired by - Mani

In the software industry, we often have dependencies. Sometimes, we may often miss some important days. I missed my plan to be at home for my b'day, but the project manager convinced to reschedule my leave plan. If you are a work harder, without your notice a dependency will be created. This was happened when I am at low hierarchical level, there were no one below, and above me, there was only one hierarchical head.

When things have changed, now we have 3-4 hierarchies. Even, when one of the team member was not available, we should run the show. This one of the lesson taught by my upper hierarchy.

Coming to my cab driver, I need to board the cab at my stop by 9:20 AM. On one day, the cab struck in the traffic, he intimated me to catch the former cab and he called the cab driver and intimated the same.
One-time, I missed the first cab, immediately the information has passed to another cab driver, and he picked up me.

I wonder, even we educated bachelor's degree, we couldn't maintain this at our projects, but we should learn theirs seamless handover in picking up the passenger and ensuring them to reach the destination on time, irrespective of who attended the passenger. The show runs without disconnect.

So what I learn from them?
# A dedication over your job, that makes them to look out of options.
# A good rap between the fellows, to help you in need.
# A good understanding of your fellowships, who can take the handover.
# Finally, the show never stops, whether you're there or not.
